The Regions of God

The average man can understand reason

yet not get (compelled) beyond into expansion,

development, elaboration.

But with God

all things are possible.

Let’s be with God.

For Christ's love compels us.

God is love.

Mark 10:27 (NIV)

"Jesus looked at them and said,

'With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.' "

2 Corinthians 5:14 (NIV)

"For Christ’s love compels us,

because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died."

In ‘A Table in the Wilderness’, Watchman Nee says...

It is true that “God hath dealt to each man a measure of faith” (Romans 12:3), but alone in isolation man can never exercise it to the full, as the context of that verse makes clear. It needs a complete Body to attain to the stature of Christ and to display his glory. That is why fellowship in prayer is so important. Trusting the Lord by myself is good, but may not be enough. I must trust him also with others. I must learn to pray on the basis of oneness with my brethren in Christ, for only together shall we get through in prayer to God’s end. I need the help of the Body because I need the help of the Lord, and because his life is the life of the Body.

Yes, let's be with God.

For Christ's love compels us.

and good deeds,"

Legacy

Photo-art credit goes to a friend who sees nature
as God's second book...all to His credit.

I thank God, whom I serve with a clear conscience the way my forefathers did, as I constantly remember you in my prayers night and day longing to see you, even as I recall your tears, so that I may be filled with joy. For I am mindful of the sincere faith within you, which first dwelt in your grandmother Lois, and your mother Eunice and I am sure that it is in you as well. And for this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands.
-2 Timothy 3-7

New Beginning

Photo-art credit goes to a friend who sees nature
as God's second book...all to His credit.

Consider the perspective which has been said -

Nothing is predestined:

the obstacles of your past can become the gateways

that lead to new beginnings.

From a natural perspective, there is probably a good vein of truth in the quote; I mean to say that it is like a gold mine.

From a supernatural perspective, the Word of God says in Ephesians 1:5 that He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will. From a personal perspective, the obstacles of my past did serve to bump me into an accessible position in front of the adoption gateway, which I then by the grace of God recognized as Jesus Christ. And there was my new beginning - end and enter.

It is not a comfortable gateway from the cocoon

through which the larva emerges a butterfly.

...Jesus declared,

I tell you the truth,

no one can see the kingdom of God

unless he is born again.

-John 3:3 NIV

He said to me:

It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega,

the Beginning and the End.

To him who is thirsty I will give to drink without cost

from the spring of the water of life.

-Revelation 21:6 NIV

For by grace you have been saved through faith;

and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God;

not as a result of works, so that no one may boast.

For we are His workmanship,

created in Christ Jesus for good works,

which God prepared beforehand

so that we would walk in them.

Ephesians 2:8-10 NASB

Jesus, the Rising One and Only, Seek Him

Photo-art credit goes to a friend who sees nature
as God's second book...all to His credit.

And the LORD will be king over all the earth;

in that day the LORD will be the only one,

and His name the only one.

-Zechariah 14:9

And he said unto him,

Why callest thou me good?

there is none good but one, that is, God:"

-Matthew 19:17

I am the good shepherd:

the good shepherd giveth his life for the sheep.

-John 10:11

This country’s problems, I believe,

have been created by leaders

choosing to leave God, i.e. Jesus Christ the Creator,

out of their decision making.

If you see in the East a bright light

and Him coming down out of the heavens

riding on a white horse leading His followers,

you can rest assured

that the problems of this country and this world

are about to be solved.

-S.B.

And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse;

and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True,

and in righteousness he doth judge and make war.

His eyes were as a flame of fire,

and on his head were many crowns;

and he had a name written, that no man knew,

but he himself.

And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood:

and his name is called The Word of God.

And the armies which were in heaven

followed him upon white horses,

clothed in fine linen, white and clean.

And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword,

that with it he should smite the nations:

and he shall rule them with a rod of iron:

and he treadeth the winepress

of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.

-Revelation 19:11-15

Messages for the Morning Watch

Click to read Messages for the Morning Watch
When there, click on a page and it will turn.

This daily devotional teaches sound scriptural truths, such as
that there is only one kind of obedience: instant.

"In the selfsame day, as God had said unto him."
-Genesis 17:23

That is the day to follow the example of Abraham,
the selfsame day as God gives instruction.
Procrastination robs God,
and robs others and ourselves of God's blessing.

How do we receive God's instruction?

We cannot go through life strong and fresh on constant express trains with ten minutes for lunch: we must have quiet hours, secret places of the Most High, times of waiting upon the Lord, when we renew our strength and learn to mount up on wings as eagles, and then come back to run and not be weary, and to walk and not faint.

The best thing about this stillness is, that it gives God a chance to work. "He that is entered into His rest hath ceased from his own works, even as God did from His; and when we cease from our thoughts, God's thoughts come into us; when we get still from our restless activity, "God worketh in us, both to will and to do of His good pleasure," and we have but to work it out.
-unknown author

And so, God's instruction is for you if you are willing to...

..."work out your own salvation with fear and trembling."
-Philippians 2:12 KJV

..."being confident of this,
that he who began a good work in you
will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus."
-Philippians 1:6

"And God is able to make all grace abound to you,
so that in all things at all times, having all that you need,
you will abound in every good work."
-2 Corinthians 9:8

"And we know that God causes all things
to work together for good
to those who love God,
to those who are called according to His purpose."
-Romans 8:28

"All the works of God are redemptive."
-Pastor Edward Wood

Best Friends

Smile, exercise, eat healthy foods, rest well, spend time with your friends,
especially your best friend.

Smile even when no-one else is looking,
but smile most commonly and extraordinarily for your best friend.
Exercise in the outdoors, enjoyed very much by your best friend.
Eat a sensible, balanced diet of veggies and fruit,
also some fish and some bread, like your best friend.
Rest well in the knowledge that you are loved and cared for
by your best friend.

Your best friend authored a book over a long period of time.
The key topic is about friendship.
In the book, this is what is said about your friendship with your best friend...

Greater love hath no man than this,
that a man lay down his life for his friends.
Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.
-John 15:13-14 KJV

Sermon Notes 04.18.10 Grandparenting

Sermon notes (Sunday, April 18, 2010) ... begin with the story of Hosea, who prophesied for God for around 70 years. Hosea suffered in his marriage to Gomer, and this suffering gave him a sense of the pain of God who suffered in that time over his 'wife' Israel. Before Hosea died, he saw Israel taken into captivity under the reign of Manasseh, who undid all the good of his father who reigned before him, Hezekiah. Thankfully, the story does not end there.

Even though we may make serious mistakes during the course of our lives, God can make effectual a life that is repentant of those mistakes. 2 Chronicles 33 is about Manasseh King of Judah who began his reign at 12 and reigned 55 years.

But did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, like unto the abominations of the heathen, whom the LORD had cast out before the children of Israel. For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had broken down, and he reared up altars for Baalim, and made groves, and worshipped all the host of heaven, and served them. Also he built altars in the house of the LORD, whereof the LORD had said, In Jerusalem shall my name be for ever. And he built altars for all the host of heaven in the two courts of the house of the LORD. And he caused his children to pass through the fire in the valley of the son of Hinnom: also he observed times, and used enchantments, and used witchcraft, and dealt with a familiar spirit, and with wizards: he wrought much evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke him to anger. -2 Chron. 33:2-6

That is an evil sandwich...which Manasseh made his people eat. But...

...the LORD spake to Manasseh, and to his people: but they would not hearken. Wherefore the LORD brought upon them the captains of the host of the king of Assyria, which took Manasseh among the thorns, and bound him with fetters, and carried him to Babylon. And when he was in affliction, he besought the LORD his God, and humbled himself greatly before the God of his fathers, And prayed unto him: and he was intreated of him, and heard his supplication, and brought him again to Jerusalem into his kingdom. Then Manasseh knew that the LORD he was God. -2 Chron. 33:10-13

Please read all of 2 Chronicles 33 to absorb the entire amazing true story, and to see that Manasseh made a complete turnaround in his last years. And it is highly probable that he had a favorable influence on his grandson, Josiah.

But, as drama would have it, before Josiah reigned, Manasseh's son Amon...

...was two and twenty years old when he began to reign, and reigned two years in Jerusalem. But he did that which was evil in the sight of the LORD, as did Manasseh his father: for Amon sacrificed unto all the carved images which Manasseh his father had made, and served them; And humbled not himself before the LORD, as Manasseh his father had humbled himself; but Amon trespassed more and more. -2 Chron. 33:21-23

Amon trespassed more and more, and...

...his servants conspired against him, and slew him in his own house. But the people of the land slew all them that had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his stead. -2 Chron. 33:24,25

Now for a breath of fresh air, enter 2 Chronicles 34...

Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign, and he reigned in Jerusalem one and thirty years. And he did that which was right in the sight of the LORD, and walked in the ways of David his father, and declined neither to the right hand, nor to the left. -2 Chron. 34:1,2

Josiah's physical grandfather was in fact Manasseh, through whom the heritage of his lineage father David was passed down to him. Please read all of 2 Chronicles 34, for it ends gloriously in verse 33...

And Josiah took away all the abominations out of all the countries that pertained to the children of Israel, and made all that were present in Israel to serve, even to serve the LORD their God. And all his days they departed not from following the LORD, the God of their fathers.

When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee,
which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois,
and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also.
-2 Timothy 1:5

And let us not be weary in well doing:
for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.
As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men,
especially unto them who are of the household of faith.
-Galatians 6:9-10

Therefore, my beloved brethren, be ye stedfast, unmoveable,
always abounding in the work of the Lord,
forasmuch as ye know that your labour is not in vain in the Lord.
-1 Corinthians 15:58

But none of these things move me,
neither count I my life dear unto myself,
so that I might finish my course with joy,
and the ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus,
to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
-Acts 20:24
